Bethel Maidstone and Gesto United Churches are both centrally located in Essex County, Ontario. We are proud of our long history in the communities in which we serve. Bethel Maidstone and Gesto draw their congregation from Maidstone, Gesto, Essex, Cottam, Woodslee, Kingsville, Amherstburg, Windsor, Tecumseh and various other places within Essex County.

Bethel Maidstone United Church was the result of the merger between Bethel and Maidstone United Churches in 1981. We pride ourselves on our friendly environment, our committment to the church, and most of all our love of food! Our church remains active in the community, providing worship services for the local nursing homes, suporting local charities and organizations, and also through serving excellent meals (Roast Beef dinners in the spring and our annual Turkey Supper in October)! Today, we are a strong, united congregation working together as servants of God, expressing our faith in Christ through teaching, sharing, serving and prayer.

Gesto United Church first met in 1874 under the guidance of the Methodist Church. The year 2006 marked the 120th anniversary of the present church building.
